Standard 7 - DENSITOMETRY METHODS Only properly authenticated bone densitometry shall
be used for clinical purposes. This shall include only those techniques
for which there are established reference intervals for the population
to be studied, and data published in peer-reviewed literature demonstrating
the efficacy of the technique in fracture prediction. Manuals containing
all methods and procedures authorised for use in the unit shall be available
in the appropriate work areas, and such manuals to be reviewed at least
annually.
